We come from very different paths, and united by faith, we believe in serving clients through real estate.
Gary: I became a REALTOR® after a 20-year career in the police department. I entered the police academy when I was 22; there was something about serving my community, in their time of need, that drew me in.

I loved being a police officer. I enjoyed the camaraderie and deep connection with my fellow officers. The job trained me to be self-confident—you have to be. You learn to stay calm in conflict and de-escalate tense situations.
As my career began, so did my family life. I had my first daughter, Kaitlyn (30) when I was 20. Kaitlyn is married to her husband David, and they have a beautiful daughter, my granddaughter, Eloise who is eight months old. My son Kyler (27) is married to his wife; Jessica and they are proud parents of two large dogs. In 2004, I married Mary, who serves our community through nursing. We’ve been married for 21 years. In 2008, we had our youngest daughter Claire (17), who is about to graduate high school and plans to attend Baylor University next fall.

My family has always been everything to me—it’s why I do what I do. While raising my kids, my police career flourished. I wanted to experience it all, and I did. First, I served three years on the SWAT team, then was promoted to Patrol Sergeant, then joined the Bomb Squad and eventually became a Patrol Lieutenant. I then moved to the Criminal Investigations Division as a Commander, overseeing homicide investigations. Leadership became one of my greatest lessons—learning how to empower my team and still hold them accountable.
I had a great career and I realized it was time to try something new, so I earned my real estate license and retired from law enforcement. Having bought several personal homes myself, I knew I could guide others with confidence.
I met Jay through a ministry school we were involved in. As we grew in relationship, Jay asked my thoughts about becoming business partners in Real Estate. We’ve been running together ever since!
Jay: Growing up, I was involved in sports and agriculture. Leadership roles always seemed to find me.

After graduating high school, I completed some college and joined the Navy. I entered as an E3—while most people come in as an E1—and was one of the first E3s trusted to supervise an entire shift in the Combat Information Center. I was promoted to E5 quickly, and my commander even encouraged me to enroll in the officer program.
Despite the momentum, I eventually left the Navy. Those were difficult years, full of searching. I prayed like never before and felt the presence of God in a way I couldn’t ignore. I realized I was being called to serve the Church.

I served at Gateway Baptist Church for a year and served at the River of Life Church for nine years—roles I loved. I’ve been married to my wife, Karen, for 21 years, and together we raised our three children: Zane, Hannah, and Bethany. I coached my daughters’ soccer and basketball teams and embraced fatherhood. I have trained and equipped others for life and ministry. While that work was deeply rewarding, I eventually felt called to serve people in a new way.
That’s when I earned my real estate license. I met Gary after five years of being a full-time Real Estate agent. We shared the same values, generosity, faith, and a commitment to lifting others up.

Gary and I have now worked as a team for eight years, and I’m excited to see what God has in store for us next. I also coach agents so they can run successful businesses and become excellent REALTORS®. My empowerment model is simple: our agents watch, learn, practice, then are launched to transform their world and the world around them.

My kids are grown now—Zane is 31, Hannah is 21, and Bethany is 18—and I’m blessed with two granddaughters. Looking back, my experiences have shaped a deep compassion for people. Everyone has different desires and gifts. I meet people where they are and guide them to where they want to be.
We take our work seriously and approach every client relationship with professionalism and kindness. As a team, we’re deeply rooted in our community—we both served as President of the Abilene Association of REALTORS®. These leadership roles have earned us the respect of fellow agents, giving our clients a valuable edge during negotiations. Our strong local ties also allow us to connect clients with trusted vendors for any real estate need. For those moving from out of state, we go a step further—helping them find not just a home, but a sense of community.
Our values truly set us apart. As men of consistency, we see real estate as an opportunity to serve by caring for our clients with integrity and compassion. We understand that buying or selling a home can be deeply emotional, so we treat every client with patience and respect. We are proactive problem solvers who anticipate challenges before they arise and apply strategic solutions to deliver results.
Sincerely,
